Hello, I'm Brittany—I'm so glad you're here.

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Whether you’re adjusting to college, starting a career, navigating relationships, or facing an unexpected change, figuring out what comes next can feel overwhelming.

I work with kids, young adults and adults navigating anxiety and life transitions. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s changing, work through what’s getting in the way, and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and true to you.

About Me

Life has a way of changing on us—sometimes because we chose a new direction, and sometimes because life made the choice for us. Either way, even positive changes can leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or wondering, “Okay…what do I do now?”

I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults who are navigating those in-between seasons of life. Maybe you’re adjusting to a new school, figuring out who you are as a teenager or young adult, dealing with changes in your family or relationships, becoming a parent, starting over after a loss, or realizing that the life you’ve been living just doesn’t fit quite the same anymore.

In therapy, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You don’t even have to know exactly what’s wrong. Sometimes you just know that something feels different, harder, or heavier than it used to—and we can start there.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I’m not here to sit silently across from you while you wonder what you’re supposed to say next. We’ll talk, explore what’s really going on, probably laugh sometimes, and work together to find practical ways to handle the things life is throwing at you. Depending on your age and what you’re facing, that might mean building coping skills, learning how to manage big emotions, strengthening relationships, setting boundaries, rebuilding confidence, or simply getting to know yourself in this new season.

And because life transitions rarely happen in a vacuum, I recognize that the people around you can be an important part of the process too. When it makes sense, I’ll work alongside parents, caregivers, or other supports to help make the changes happening in therapy easier to carry into everyday life.

At Genesis Balance, we believe you don’t have to have your whole life figured out to start moving forward. Sometimes you just need a safe place to sort through what’s changing, decide what you want to carry with you, and figure out what comes next. I’d be honored to walk with you through that process.
